“World’s Greatest Dad” (written and directed by Bobcat Goldthwait) is a comedy about a man who learns that the things you want most may not be the things that make you happy, and that being lonely is not necessarily the same as being alone.

 Lance Clayton (Robin Williams) is a high school teacher who dreams of being a rich and famous writer. He is a single dad to Kyle – a disrespectful jackassof a kid, and is maybe dating Claire – an adorable art teacher who may or may not be leading him on.

After a freak accident, Lance suddenly finds himself facing both the worst tragedy of his life, and the greatest opportunity. His actions unintentionally set him on the path to what could be great success, as long as he can live with the knowledge of what got him there.
